Melvin is originally from the Washington D.C. area. He relocated to Sandusky, Ohio where he spent most of his life and attended St. Mary Central Catholic HS. He went on to attend Bowling Green State University. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. While at BGSU, he helped found the student organization Student's of Color in Business and played Defensive Back for the Falcons. While still in school, he started the nonprofit organization The Dominion M.VP. Foundation. His passion to provide mentoring and professional opportunities to youth in his community. He currently resides in Toledo, Ohio where his Youth Empowerment Initiative is active.

 

Professionally, Melvin started his career in financial services with New York Life. He quickly realized that clients could be better served using more of an individualized and affordable approach. Melvin founded Dominion Life Insurance, LLC so he can help his clients reach their financial goals affordably. He is licensed to do business in Ohio, Michigan, California, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, and Texas.
